The term Chauffeur has evolved over the years and today the term chauffeur is norrmally known as a professional driver who drives a luxury car. Yes it means that but there is a lot more to it a chauffeur must know how to handle his customers be polite and friendly and yet be professional at all times. He must be knowledgeable about his journey a good chauffeur would plan his route and make sure he had a backup route in case of accidents etc..
He must look smart and his car cleaned in and out and provide a fresh bottle of water and tissues and a newspaper if possible all these are mainly standard and top executives expect this.
The chances are that you may never meet your customers again so give them a lasting impression and provide them with a professional chauffeur service and you never know they may book you again or even give you a tip!

Well Dressed Chauffeurs

There is nothing worse than seeing a chauffeur waiting at the airport with his board up and just looking like he has just got up unshaven hair all over the place and tie half way down his shirt!
To be a professional chauffeur your job is to carry passengers from a to b YESs but a taxi can do this the reason people or companies use a chauffeur service is that they expect a lot more! A Chauffeur needs to take pride in the way he presents himself it is not hard to dress smart wear a shirt and tie and clean shoes and your half way there!
You know the saying first impressions well it is true to make a good impression you need to look the part clean suit shirt and tie (done up correctly) shiny shoes oh and it helps if you had a good wash and combed your hair (if you have any that is)! And all this would be in vain if you have forgot to clean your car!

I was sifting through a few reviews about luxury cars and came across the dream specification that chauffeurs would just die for and customers would love to ride in and is fit for top CEO’s and Presidents. Looking at the spec you would think it could drive itself a bit worring as it could do us out of a job in a couple of years the way the technology is changing.

Chauffeurs Do Nots!

When you book a chauffeur driven car you know it is going to cost more than a normal mini cab so you expect a lot more!

Car not the car you ordered
Car turned up late
Driver stinks of smoke
No apology for being late or a very lame excuse
Driver not in suite and wearing jeans and T shirt
Car dirty and not been cleaned inside
Water bottled been used and not replaced
Driver looks nervous and unsure where he is going
Driver unfriendly
Ended up late for meeting

Any of the above or a combination of them would make you mad and you would never want to book from that company again. But these things still happen and yes there may be in certain examples a reason for some of the above like the car turning up late due to a breakdown but then a reputable company would be making you aware of the problem and if it is an issue sending out another car.

We are all people of the world and know that incidents can happen but most things like being courteous and looking smart make a good impression. If you have had a bad experience with some of the above then you need to try another company a company that wants to impress you by making sure the car you ordered is on time gleaming and smells like brand new. Most chauffeur companies try their best to provide a good service otherwise customers would leave and go elsewhere.
